Pray

However little you have, bring that.

One sentence counts. One minute counts. Nothing here requires you to feel a certain way first.

A private prayer journal

An optional account will let you keep saved prayers, favorite Scripture, saved resources, and a journal. Journals are designed to be private by default: never published, never shown to other users, and never used to build a public prayer wall.

If prayer itself is the hard part

Christ among the rejected

Prayer with people, not over them

Matthew 25 puts prayer and action in the same sentence. Christ says he is found among the hungry, the thirsty, the stranger, the unclothed, the sick, and the imprisoned.

The prayers in "Prayer with the marginalized" above are written to be prayed alongside people, never as commentary about them. They ask for concrete things: food, shelter, papers, safety, medical care, an end to what is being done. Where a prayer touches abuse or trafficking, it asks for escape and accountability, not endurance.

The corporal works of mercy come straight out of that passage: feed the hungry, give drink to the thirsty, clothe the naked, shelter the homeless, visit the sick, visit the imprisoned, bury the dead. Prayer that never reaches any of them has quietly changed the subject.
