For people who are hungry or without shelter

Father, you fed a crowd on a hillside and you did not lecture them first.

Be near everyone who is hungry tonight, and everyone who has nowhere safe to sleep.

Hold in your care those who are counting coins, skipping meals so a child can eat, or waiting in a queue with their whole life in a bag.

Do not let me call this a tragedy and then do nothing about it.

Show me where food, money, or an hour of my time is genuinely needed, and let me give it without making anyone perform gratitude.
