A prayer with people who have been pushed aside

Lord Jesus, you were born poor, carried into Egypt to keep you alive, and killed as a condemned man.

You are not a stranger to being counted as nothing.

Be with everyone who is treated as disposable today: in hospitals, in cells, in camps, at borders, in rooms where no one is coming.

You said that what is done to the least is done to you. Then whatever is being done to them is being done to you, and you have not looked away.

Give me no comfortable distance from this. Give me one thing I can actually do, and the honesty to do it.
