Prayer when afraid

For nights when fear is louder than everything else.

God, I am afraid, and I do not want to pretend otherwise.

Stay close. Slow my breathing. Hold what I cannot hold.

If there is something I need to do to be safe, help me see it clearly, and help me find someone who can help. Amen.
