For people who have been shut out by religious communities

Lord, you were called a friend of the wrong people, and it was meant as an insult.

Be with everyone who has been made to feel unwelcome in a church: shamed at a door, gossiped about, dismissed, or quietly frozen out.

You never asked anyone to become respectable before you would speak with them.

Where your people have done harm, let there be honest repair rather than a smoothing over.
